It's that time of year again, where we support young girls as they tryout to become an Aurora representative at local fairs, parades and community events. Representative will dress in period dress and participate in a number of community events.
History of Little Miss Pioneer
The tradition began in 1978, and after a 20 years hiatus, the program began again in 2008 for a new generation. The Little Miss Pioneer program provides Aurora girls age 9-12 with an opportunity to represent the city at area events, including parades, fairs, and local community functions. The program helps build self-confidence and poise in a positive and comfortable environment. Those selected to serve as the Little Miss Pioneer queen, or as a princess on the court will represent Aurora at key events.
Next Meeting for the Little Miss Pioneer Committee will take place on April 25th.
